Before we dive into this topic, we need to clarify something: in life, in living beings, and therefore in human beings, there are no absolute values. We do not refer to archetypes of Justice, Beauty, or Truth because in the world of ideas, they exist as absolutes, but in the manifested world, things become relative when they come into contact with others. Therefore, what is good for one person may not be good for another.
All negative emotions have their positive aspect; we make them negative when we suppress them. We must accept emotions that we consider negative as part of ourselves, observe them, and transform them. The awareness of the dominance of feelings can have an effect similar to that caused by an observer in the world of quantum physics, which is the transformation of the observed object.
Finally, do emotions harm health? What are those emotions that hurt us?
Emotions that destroy
According to Dr. Edward Bach, there are two possible major mistakes: one is the resistance to emotional and mental. and the body towards the soul. When our personality resists the desires of the soul, we become sick. Another mistake is cruelty or evil towards others, as these are transgressions against Unity. Any of these mistakes cause conflict that leads to illness.
Hatred is the opposite of love, contrary to the law of creation. It is against the entire divine concept and only leads to actions and thoughts harmful to Unity and opposed to those guided by love.
Egoism is also a denial of unity, it is when we prioritize our own interests over the good of humanity and the care and protection of others.
Ignorance is a failure to learn, a refusal to see the truth when presented with the opportunity, which leads to many wrongful acts that can only exist in darkness, and are not possible when surrounded by the light of truth and knowledge. Unawareness is comfortable. So I am acting wrongly now, and if I become sick because of it, it will be tomorrow…
Instability, indecisiveness, and weakness arise within us when the personality resists the longings of the soul. When our personality resists what the soul desires, that is when we become ill. Another mistake is being cruel or evil towards others, as these are transgressions against Unity. Any of these mistakes lead to conflict, which in turn results in illness.
Hatred is the opposite of love, and it goes against the law of creation. It contradicts the entire divine concept and only leads to actions and thoughts that are harmful to Unity and contrary to those driven by love.
Egoism is also a negation of unity, it is when we prioritize our own interests over the well-being of humanity and the care and protection of those close to us.
Ignorance is a failure to learn, a refusal to see the truth when given the opportunity, which leads to many wrong actions that can only exist in darkness, actions that are impossible when surrounded by the light of truth and realization. Unawareness is comfortable. Right now, I am behaving incorrectly, and if I get sick as a result, it will happen tomorrow…
He refuses to be guided by me anymore, and leads us to betray others because of his weaknesses.
Greed leads to a desire for power over others. It is a denial of the freedom and individuality of each soul. Instead of recognizing that each of us is here to freely develop our own ways of expression, in accordance with the commands of the soul, to increase our individuality and work freely and without barriers, the greedy personality wants to dictate, mold and command.
Fear is the absence of love, because love is trust. If there is no trust, there is fear. Fear is a great illness, a common denominator of many diseases that humanity suffers from today. We need to trust in life and, above all, develop trust in our own abilities of expression.
Anger turns into irritability, aggressiveness, resentment, hatred, which turn against us and negatively affects the liver, digestion, and immune system.
Sadness is a feeling that can lead us to depression when it overwhelms us and we don’t express it. >
More and more people are suffering from anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of emptiness. It is an existential void that arises when we seek answers outside of ourselves, instead of within. It occurs when we seek external events, external support, when we use “crutches instead of legs”, when we do not possess the strength of inner search. If we do not accept solitude and achieve inner fulfillment, we will experience that emptiness and try to fill it with things and possessions.
However, since this void cannot be filled with things, it only grows. Anxiety cannot be overcome by consuming chocolate, calories or waiting for a prince on a white horse. Sadness passes when we enter our inner selves, when we accept ourselves as we are and make peace with ourselves. Sadness arises from the fact that we are not what we want to be, that we are not doing what we should be doing.
Stress is another evil of our time. It arises from competition, because we want to be perfect, because we want to be better than others, because of the constant need to prove ourselves and be successful. But stress can also be a motivator, pushing us to achieve our goals and improve ourselves, as long as we know how to manage it properly.
desire to express something that is not our own. In reality, we can only compete with ourselves. Destructive stress damages the immune system. Good stress is desirable because it allows us to be cautious and alert in crisis situations.
Negative emotions such as fear, anger, envy, hatred, anger, or discouragement weaken our immunity, our defense against harmful external elements. If we do not reshape them, they become psychic and mental larvae-parasites. They destroy our empathy and our relationships with the world, our social relationships. They destroy our inner life. They destroy our joy, healthy humor, and love, which are our best weapons against any illness.
So, what can we say about emotions control?
Most people have one or more harmful flaws that hinder their progress, and that flaw is exactly what we need to find within ourselves. As we strive to develop and expand kindness towards the world within ourselves, we also need to strive to remove that flaw. We must flood our nature with the opposite virtue. Things do not disappear, they integrate and transform. Let us transform selfishness into generosity, separation into unity.
Healing Emotions
There are wonderful healing methods, there are emotions that heal.
The most important remedy is love, it is the power of unity. It represents surrender to the universal law. Without a doubt, there always needs to be a strong and healthy desire to be better, to be more useful, as well as intelligence or wisdom to shape our goals. Trying to be less ignorant every day will undoubtedly make us happier and healthier. Buddha long ago said that the cause of pain is ignorance.
Another positive emotion is trust in oneself and in the life where nothing happens by chance, so we can understand it by absorbing its messages every day.
It is important to forgive, it is an experience of connection and re-alignment, first of the mind and then of the body. “He who forgives – heals” heals the wounds that no is in the heart. Not forgiving others or oneself leads to destruction or self-destruction, and is the cause of autoimmune diseases.
We can mention all the noble feelings, like courage, which erases our fears, or modesty, which puts us in the service of life. We are human beings and we have feelings; it is absurd to pretend that they do not affect us and to deny them. Understanding, acceptance, sincere self-observation are necessary ingredients of our struggle to calm our emotions and achieve balance – vertical harmony (towards the sky and our earth) and horizontal harmony (towards what surrounds us).
In order to achieve this “harmony”, this constant attempt at reconciliation, it is necessary that our actions be guided by our feelings, and those by our reason, but reason must not be the only one imposing its criteria. In that case, we create an imbalance.
Holistic medicine concludes that our psyche (feelings and thoughts) clearly and strongly influences the risk of illness or the possibility of healing. Therefore, we must direct all our attention to shaping emotions, helping others overcome them, directing them towards the Beautiful, the True, the Just, and the Good. In this way, the world will cease to suffer. And until then… we will have one of the most beautiful goals.
