It is pointless to repeatedly mention situations that affect everyone in the world because the media has already taken on the task of broadcasting them, but also because by repeating them, we only amplify the problem without finding a solution.
What generally affects us the most is the approach to the situation, at least the approach that is shown to us who can do very little to fix what seems to have no quick solution.
Those in positions of responsibility are responsible for pointing out mistakes. There is no doubt about that. But everyone blames others, those in the other group, in the other party, with a different intellectual or fundamental standpoint.
This would mean, therefore, that each of them has the long-awaited solution. Unfortunately, aside from criticism and empty promises, nothing new appears.
Everyone is demanding that others change or stop influencing others. No one shows the intention to start with themselves, no one gives a concrete example of how a human being can and should be better if they truly want to achieve anything. and a future more positive than the present we live in.
It is painful to see how many people die every day as a result of unchecked fanaticism. And every day we wonder if anyone has the right to kill those who do not share the same worldview or have different beliefs.
It is painful to see how wealth circulates among a few and how poverty weighs down many. This is compounded by corruption and exploitation of those on the brink of existence and fraud against those who willingly donate.
Everyone wants to live their life without worrying about what happens to others… This saying has never been more true: “After me – the flood…” How much longer can we continue like this?
Clearly, we are facing serious problems of all kinds that affect the world’s population, the planet Earth, and the prospects for the future. But we must start taking action as soon as possible if we want to live a future with dignity. We must start with ourselves.
The value of philosophy applied in practice lies in the fact that it guides us to find meaningful solutions to the challenges we face and helps us create a better world for ourselves and future generations. recognizes with their own conscience and calls for a healthy internal transformation before asking anything from others.
If we want tolerance, we must start having more understanding. If we want to solve economic problems, we must learn to take responsibility and manage our own resources, setting an example that goes from top to bottom rather than demanding it from those who no longer have anything to manage. If we don’t want to be robbed, let’s stop robbing or exploiting opportunities that come with moral boundaries. If we want to live, let’s not allow anyone to get away with murder.
It is easy to think that many crimes can remain in the shadows, undetected. Or to believe that it is enough to maintain a good image for history to take a good direction. No, it is necessary for each of us to be our own strict judge, for each person to become a good example, small or large, an example of the potential greatness that exists in human beings.
If we decided to express kindness and generosity before anyone else others, even if others don’t, when it would be enough for us to be satisfied with our own conscience, when we would think of others, not just our own comfort; when we would truly be free to act like that, the world would become better.
We must start. Why not right now? Every act carries the power of the idea that inspires it. Let us do good for the benefit, and Good will, according to the words of philosopher Plato, find its place in this world that we all share.
