How are dreams realized?

How dreams are realized

To those who are reading my texts for the first time, I always point out that my articles are actually reflections, some insights and occasional contemplations. I believe that every person has a philosophical nature, that we are all philosophers and that there is no university that could create philosophers. A diploma can be proof of possessing a range of technical knowledge, but there is no university that produces philosophers, just as there are none that create poets or musicians. Philosophy is the unrest that we carry within ourselves, and man is a filo-sophos, a lover of wisdom, a lover of what lies deep beneath things.

This filo-sophos is present in all of us. The question is only, as Socrates says, the rediscovery of oneself. It is necessary to meet with oneself in order to meet ourselves, in order to see our new face in that wonderful mirror, the inner face that we can have, the face that reflects our depth.

It is precisely this deep face of ours that will be the starting point of today’s topic: How dreams are realized. I will talk about dreams not in a physical sense, meaning whether we are asleep or awake, but about dreams as hopes and archetypes, or everything that lies behind the physical.

We know that there is a law of gravity which makes water flow from the mountains to the sea, but that law is a mechanical entity, there must be a Being behind it, and this Being, as Calderón de la Barca said, is the dream that the river dreams. The river is a river and flows because it dreams of flowing. Likewise, birds dream of being birds, and once we dreamt of what we are now.

We all have different dreams, some are artistic, others are family-related, economic, social, political. The whole world has dreams. Sometimes we think that someone, because they are poor or dressed differently, does not have the ability to dream. But everyone is capable of dreaming in their own way. We are all in touch with that inner Being in which archetypes live, where dreams are found.

Within us lives a world of archetypes, an ancient calling that invites us to Perfection, calls us towards Goodness, Harmony, and Love. My love, that is a strong call, powerful, lasting, that never leaves us. That call never ages, that call doesn’t care about gray hair, despite the years, that call lasts in us… lasts… lasts…

Sometimes, when we are humble, when we retreat into solitude, we feel sparks of dreams within us. Some mysterious sounds call us from songs that maybe, out of shyness, we have never written. There is so much unusual music, but we cannot evoke it into existence because we don’t know how to play or we don’t know the notes. We have thousands of ideas on how something could be done, but we cannot achieve it because we lack the necessary financial resources.

Within us, there lives a world of archetypes, an ancient call that summons us to Perfection, calls us towards Goodness, Harmony, Love. That is a strong call, powerful, lasting, that never leaves us. That call never ages, that call doesn’t care about gray hair, despite the years, that call lasts in us… lasts… lasts…

So, how do dreams come true? We have already talked about how in Nature there is a division into seven Level, like the week having seven days, the basic music scale having seven notes, seven being the basic colors, etc. There is a sevenfoldness that directs the known manifest world.

Dreams, in order to be realized, are also guided by the number seven. There is a dimension that we can call the dimension of will. In this dimension, everything is chemically pure. Those who have read Schopenhauer will remember what he said about will, about pure impulses, about that kind of numbers or things that exist far from all appearances and always evoke similar phenomena. Death does not reach this world, nor does decadence, nor does any form of impurity that we know today.

Below it, there is the world of intuition, where the subject and the object are in direct contact, where we can, in a way, get to know things directly, without the need for a mediator. For example, if you go to Greece and visit the Parthenon, you will say that the Parthenon is beautiful, even if you may not know anything about architecture and archaeology.

After all, anyone can say whether an object is beautiful. Or maybe not; we may not all agree, we may have different views on beauty, but we can all say something is beautiful when it truly is. We don’t need to explain if it’s made of this or that material; there is something within us, something uncompromising, that clearly tells us whether something is beautiful or not.

There is also a third level, the level of intellect. According to Greek philosophers, intellect enables us to understand things deeply, to grasp them fully, to reach their essence.

Below this level is the world of reason and desire; on this plane, we enter into eternal duality, because our mind is dual. It is the realm of the mind with desires, it seeks to know something, thirsts for knowledge of things, for discussion, for winning and losing.

The level below this is the world of psyche, the world where our dreams, or rather our fantasies, and our fantasies begin. It is that psychic world that causes our being to completely change in the eyes of others. For example, there are people who are not physically attractive, but in the eyes of others they become beautiful because of their inner qualities. wow, but they have a special charm that will attract us, they have that something that sparks our interest. On the other hand, there are people who are very good-looking, well-dressed, pleasant-looking, but we just don’t click with them, we don’t find them likable. And often we wonder why someone who is kind and honorable still doesn’t sit well with us. That is the psychological world, which in a certain way connects to the world of intuition.

The world of the psyche is like a crown above a lower world, the world of vitality. All things have vitality. All things have the breath of life, and that breath keeps them manifested. Below the level of vitality is the level of manifestation.

How do dreams manifest? There is a world of archetypes. If, for example, I ask you: how much is two plus two? Four. Excellent. But how much of what? There is no need to explain that. So, there is a higher world, abstract, that exists somewhere beyond the properties of color, shape, size, and in that world, there are archetypes of dreams that begin their realization in manifestation.

But dreams, According to classical philosophers, dreams and archetypes are not human creations, but have existed before humans. They have been present from the very beginning of all things. Everything in nature exists independently of whether we explore it or not. There is an original natural blueprint that is far beyond our understanding. Today, we talk about seven musical notes, we have divided the week into seven days, connecting them to specific planets, etc., but in a way, they already exist, they are already embedded in the very conception of the cosmos. Likewise, dreams live and exist as invisible friends, unknown beings that never leave us, living in their world of archetypes. Goblins, knights, ladies, colored lights, strange things, unfamiliar voices, images we have never seen, words we have never heard, words we have never learned… They are in some kind of Pandora’s box, from which Hope has never escaped, and there are dreams that will gradually come true.

How do they come true? They come true step by step. Let’s consider one example. ranih prepreka ili ograničenja koja bismo morali riješiti prije nego što ostvarimo svoje snove. Međutim, upravo ta borba i izazovi čine putovanje još vrijednijim i ispunjenijim. Bitno je da ostanemo istrajni i uporni u ostvarivanju svojih snova, kako bismo na kraju mogli reći da smo dali život svojim snovima. There are inherent interests, factors that limit our dreams. Because others’ dreams can sometimes limit the possibilities of achieving our own.

There are elements that prevent dreams from coming true the way we’d like them to. That’s why it takes willpower to achieve them, one must master oneself, but also know how to desire. Just thinking about a desire is not enough, one must also feel it. We need willpower, faith in ourselves, we need to connect with the spiritual world, with that great spiritual treasure that lies there – that is Will, Intuition, Intellect.

Up there, in a way, live our dreams and archetypes, those that we will realize now or at some point in the future. It is also where what adorned Don Quixote lives, who lived as a madman and died sane, but who knows, maybe he didn’t die sane nor lived as a madman, maybe it was the other way around… because there is no greater madness than attaching too much importance to material things and things that are only seemingly sensible. Maybe there is no greater wisdom nor A faster way to the Truth is to confront things with depth and strength; to know how to sing, talk, be together, to dream deeply and strongly together.

We must dream passionately, dream until tears fill our eyes, dream with strained muscles, dream with closed eyes. We must become the Will in motion moving towards the Dream we desire. We must have inner strength because that is what sets us apart from animals, that inner strength, that strength of dreaming and creating.

If the world were to collapse today, if we were to lose all our art, all our science, all our philosophy, all our literature, our cities, our roads… and only one couple remained on earth, they would resettle the earth, libraries, songs, children, paintings would return. The Parthenon and pyramids would be brought back, because man carries within himself all the archetypes of humanity.

In a way, each of us reflects all the people on the globe; each of us holds within ourselves the dreams of all the people who have ever lived. We live on Earth, just like those who are yet to come. Each of us has unimaginable potentials, but persistence is necessary. It is not easy to achieve our dreams, it is very difficult. Year after year, month after month, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute, we must strive to fulfill our dreams.

This is what we need to learn, feel, carry in our hearts and minds, in every interaction with a human being, even when we are writing a letter, even when we are alone, always reminding ourselves that we have the honor of BEING HUMAN – that thousands of years of history are behind us, and thousands of years of future are ahead of us.

And if we don’t have our own dreams, then let us strive to follow someone else’s dream, but let’s not be without dreams! Because we do not hold the stars in our hands, yet we have learned to look up at the stars in the sky, we do not carry a source of water on our backs, yet we have learned to drink from mountain springs…

If we don’t have our own dream, let’s try to follow a great dream that will uplift us, a dream that will make us not only human on the outside but also on the inside. If we are truly human, as philosophy demands and as nature demands within every person, we will rise to our feet and stand humbly before God. We can say: I am a human being, I have dreams, I am not a machine, I am far more than that. I can act, I can improve myself, I can dream of something beyond myself. I am a particle of Creation and as such, I can dream of a New Man, a New Man who will not have our limitations, because when a poet is born within him, he will be able to write his verses, and when a musician is born within him, he will be able to compose his music. I can dream of a New Man who knows how to live ecologically, not against nature, but for its benefit, and following the natural laws that are within him, purified from the outside and from within; a New Man who does not know fear, hatred, envy; a New Man who will remember us with love, because we dreamed of him before he even existed…

In this dark moment of history, amidst all these crises, the loss of values, n of our dreams is a combination of determination and doubt. We boldly dream of a New Human who can be born within us: whole from within, something that cannot be bought with all the gold in the world, deeply aware of their immortality, knowing that being Human means more than just having a skeleton, bones… it is something much deeper. That Human is like a ray of light, like a lightning bolt in the night…

To be Human in this historical moment, to be the seed of the New Human, means to be the Light in the night. Our journey, as one philosopher said, consists of a long journey under the light of lightning to reach the New and Better Human that we all dream of. We can enable the descent of dreams, our hands full of seeds will receive white doves of inspiration, and the new Homers who will sing will live again, the great people who will sculpt and paint will live again. We will be able to be proud again that we are HUMAN.

This is the realization of dreams, small dreams like the one of having a home, and big ones like this one about the New Human.

What enables the embodiment, the realization Once again, that is a philosophical way of thinking. Each of us is a dream. You, so to speak, dreamt of me, and I dreamt of you. We dreamt of each other, and that’s why we met.

Do we know what we really are in this world of dreams and hopes? Perhaps a light passing on the horizon…?

We are humans, Philosophers, seeds of the New Man, that relentless force that can do what Cervantes dreamt of in his Don Quixote: turn giants into windmills, and not windmills into giants. Remember how Don Quixote attacked the windmills, believing they were giants, and Sancho told him: “Watch out! Those are windmills…” Don Quixote replied: “They are monsters, our enemies”, and he charged at them and fell to the ground. Then Sancho said to him: “Didn’t I tell you, sir, that those are windmills?”, and Don Quixote responded: “Didn’t I tell you, Sancho, that there are things that can only be learned through Chivalry: there are giants that, when attacked, turn into windmills.”

What enables is the embodiment, the realization of dreams, it is a philosophical way of thinking. Each of us is a dream…

This is what we need to learn, feel, carry in our hearts and minds, in every interaction with a human being, even when we write a letter, even when we are alone, always remind ourselves that we have the privilege of BEING HUMAN, that thousands of years of history are behind us, and thousands of years of future are ahead of us.

Let us not forget that we are one link in a great chain and that we have a historical responsibility to bring new seeds to the New World and open the furrows of the New Earth. Let us gather enough strength to wake up renewed every day, to be who we are, to do what we do, but let us strive to do it well, let us strive to do it in a philosophical way. Let us always strive to be connected with the world of dreams, with the world that awaits us after death, embraced by the peace that comes from fulfilling our duty.
