Time and Energy Mastery

Chronic fatigue

Lack of awareness of what we are doing – not being present in what we are doing – exhausts us much more than if we forced ourselves to actively participate in every act. This accumulated fatigue increasingly shortens the periods of our ability to be productive. Running and not breathing, succumbing to selfish or depressing feelings and not getting out of such a state, circling constantly within the same ideas without seeking a solution inevitably leads to exhaustion.

Resting under such conditions is very difficult, if not impossible. It is not enough to breathe occasionally while swimming, or to disconnect for a few days and not think about anything and try to forget the feelings that sadden us. Such breaks are transformations, excuses, insufficiently subtle traps, illusions which, when they end, open up space for old fatigue and do not bring energy for starting a new work cycle with greater enthusiasm.

Knowing how to rest

We are exhausted by things that do not interest us or that we do not know how to learn

Nor are they interesting; they tire us if we do not know how to take a break in the midst of work; they tire us with a monotonous automatism that does not allow consciousness to participate.

Resting is when we are interested in what we do, when we look at things in a new way and with a desire to learn about everything that surrounds us and everything that is happening in the world; when we always remain true to ourselves and we are fully present in everything that is our duty. It refreshes us to breathe fresh air, to look at the sky and get lost in it, to observe the dance of fire or the flow of water; to touch the leaves of a plant or play with a domestic animal; to have a conversation with those we love or read the works of those we admire; to share a table, a walk, or a cup of coffee with someone; to know that we are eternal and to have all the necessary time available to do the smallest and greatest things.

Finally, resting should not mean exhausting ourselves outside of the necessary time and place with things that do not deserve our tiredness.

The Secret of Energy

Difficult to reach a state of rest he concept of “being oneself” requires constant renewal of the energy we have initiated. We all have a certain amount of energy, which, if exhausted in our initial attempts, dissipates and leaves us with a feeling of emptiness and confusion. Like all other forces in the Universe, energy is consumed and replenished within its own cycle. Conscious energy automatically generates new energy sources that will serve us to continue tomorrow, and the following days… as if we are becoming stronger and stronger.

Effort fuels our energy

We all have a certain amount of energy available to us, generally much greater than we assume, but if we do not use it, it seems weak and limited to us.

This energy serves all levels of a human being, from the physical to the most subtle, volitional level. It is easy to imagine some physical effort, although not so easy to carry it out, but at least we know what type of energy we are dealing with. However, it is not as simple to recognize the effort, the energy on the psychological, mental, moral, and spiritual level.

On subtler lev Effort is associated with good mood, with elevated spirits. On a psychological level, it is precisely energy that allows us to remain calm, stable, joyful, distant from negative and obsessive feelings. Effort needs to be invested, a lot of energy needs to be invested in order to achieve that special spirit, but it is worth the effort.

On a mental level, energy is used to clarify all the ideas we adopt so that we do not wander through hazy thoughts in which nothing has clear contours. It is the energy needed to bring order to all our ideas, connecting them in harmonious unity, in a wondrous architecture of thoughts. Effort needs to be invested in order to turn our minds into a world of organized and valuable forms. Undoubtedly, it is worth the effort.
