Today I saw Urania, the muse of stars, the Celestial, and it was enough to just look up. However, it is difficult to look up today…
We are far from the muse, blind to sublime inspiration, because we have learned to love the chains and shackles that bind us more and more to the earth. Because of this, we forget that there is a sky, that the stars shine despite our blindness, and that the sacred laws that govern the universe follow their inexorable path, even though people pretend to abolish this mathematical order with their decrees.
Today I saw Urania, I saw how she holds the universe in her hands guided by laws, that enormous and wondrous universe where harmony is expressed through numbers, movement, cycles, and the life that always continues. I saw her blue, completely pure, surrounded by shining stars, I saw how from her stellar world she shows the subtle threads that connect everything.
Beyond the abstractions that science has accustomed us to, I saw that the stars are beings full of life that acquire their power from the source of eternal energy. I experienced while being connected to my luminous bodies, just as humans need their bodies to learn and communicate. I saw how the rotation of stars resembles the constant rotation of people, who in their cities go from one point to another in fulfilling their daily duties. I saw how the appearance and disappearance of stars coincide with what we call dreaming and waking. I saw how the stars seek their central Sun and revolve around it, just as humans direct themselves towards God in their constant search for perfection.
I saw and understood the profound teachings of the ancients who, by knowing the characteristics of each star as a living being, connected them to different deities, uniting symbols and meanings in an attempt to create a synthesis that could help humans feel part of the universe.
Looking at Urania, I felt the power of parallel paths through which both humans and stars move towards the same destination, each according to their abilities. We opaque, they shining, but from the same essence within. We ourselves and desperate; they accompanied by Urania whom they follow recording the rhythm of her mathematical waves. We below, they above, but both making an effort to achieve a meeting: they sending their eternal radiation, and we learning to lift our gaze to their presence in the night sky.
When the sun sets, when the worries and anxieties that have occupied you until that moment quieten down, look up at the night sky, dear reader. Do not let the dark clouds deceive you: behind them, you will see Urania’s brilliant cloak, flooded with lights that beat in the same rhythm as your heart.
Look for Urania, and you will see that you are not alone; that the universe she shows you is infinite and that, beyond human pain, there is a promise of magnificent eternity in a world where fraternal stars shine, having taken an additional step on their life’s journey, they have learned to turn darkness into light and the transient into the permanent. Can you see her? For the same reason you lifted your gaze, she has lowered her wings.
